2017 will see the 40th anniversary of the group and we are going to perform the first show the group performed all those years ago – Humpty Dumpty.
John Sorrell directed that show in 1977 and he has taken up the challenge again. We had considered using the original script, but we have opted for a more modern version, which is a traditional panto.
The show will be performed during February half term, 15th – 18th, so put the dates in your diary and come along and support your local community panto.
Due to a family bereavement for one of the principal characters who cannot be present we have cancelled the first night, Wednesday 17th and we will open on Thursday 18th. Concessions are still available for Thursday night’s performance.
We look forward to packed houses… Don’t delay getting your tickets. The Saturday matinee is already half sold out!!
Tickets are available from Hanslope News, Castlethorpe Post Office and online http://www.ticketsource.co.uk/heg

Well not literally …. Recently the group have performed a Medieval Murder Mystery to help raise funds for the Hanslope Women’s Institute and Age UK MK. The audience were transported back over 500 years to that tumultuous time in England’s history, the Wars of the Roses where the question was posed – who murdered the Princes in the Tower. Or were they murdered at all!
Characters from the period took to the stage. Richard, Duke of Gloucester’s fall from grace at the battle of Bosworth. The Duke of Buckingham plotting the murder with his henchmen led by Sir James Tyrell.
Finally the audience were asked to vote on who they thought the murderer was and there was also a picture quiz to test their knowledge.
