February next year sees the staging of our 37th annual community pantomime. This year we are performing a traditional family favourite Aladdin, written by Steve Shaw, a new writer to the group.
The storyline will be familiar to all, with Aladdin who works in his mother, Widow Twankey’s laundry, trying to find wealth so he can marry his love, the Emperor’s daughter, Princess Rosebud. He is of course fooled by the evil Abanazar into finding the lamp but escapes from the cave with the help of the Genie of the Lamp and the Genie of the Ring. Of course it all turns out happily in the end.
Performances will run from Wednesday 19th to Saturday 22nd February. So put the dates in your diary. Tickets will go on sale in January.
